Kota Kinabalu: State Anti Corruption Agency (ACA) Director Hajjah Latifah Md Yatim is going on transfer to Penang.
When contacted, Latifah confirmed the transfer and said she would be reporting for duty as Penang state ACA Director immediately after Hari Raya.
Asked about the sudden transfer, Latifah said it was a promotion to a higher scale (Jawatan Utama Sektor Awam or Jusa) or Key Position In Public Sector.
Known as a no-nonsense woman and for her strictness, Latifah was transferred to Sabah on July 22, 2006 replacing Haji Shukri Abdull.
She was the first woman ACA Director in Sabah and served as Community Education Director (Prevention) in Putrajaya.
Daily Express understands that former Tawau and Sandakan ACA branch chief Jalil Jaffar may be appointed the new State ACA director. Jalil is currently is in PutraJaya.
